Course: Certificate Programme in Animation

Duration: 50 Hours

Description: Explore the 12 principles of animation through a series of practical exercises using cut-out and stop-motion animation. You will learn the fundamentals of this complex subject including how to animate simple objects, story development and character design. In this practical and hands-on introductory course you will explore the core concepts of animation and produce your own short animated film. Under the guidance of a professional you will cover the traditional and digital techniques involved in producing animation. You will learn to create colour, shape, basic motions and add sound effects to your animation. You will also learn how to bring your 2D animated characters to life by making them speak and move through lip synching, walk cycles and expressions and you will learn to weave a story around your character.

Certification: A “Certificate of Participation” will be issued following completion.
